Most people enjoy their days off spending time with family, getting outside, ect. Essentially everything but work.
Me?
My days off were spent laid up in bed.
After the wife and I got our daughter back up on her feet from the stomach flu, before the weekend, I went to work this last weekend and thought everything was fine since no one else seemed to be getting sick.
WRONG!
Not only did I wake up Tuesday morning to stick my head in the toilet bowl, but my son also got it also.
I have to give my wife credit, she handled it well. I was laid out in bed trying to sleep through the stomach flu and was knocked out for a good portion of 36 hours, but she was up most the night with my son on the couch and a puke bucket. She got me up about 5:30am Wednesday to take over so she could get some rest and I tried to give her as much sleep as I could till about noon. I don't know what I would do without her.
It is now Thursday and I am at work again.
I am able to eat a little more, but drinking coffee still makes my stomach hurt if I drink too much. So I had a few sips of coffee at work, then poured the rest out and now drinking nothing but water.
I guess this is the hard way to lose some weight, eh?
Also makes me wonder if it was caffine withdrawls causing some of the massive headaches I was having in the last couple of days. I thought at first it was sinus, because there is ALOT of pollen in the air, enough where I have a yellow coating on the van each morning, but I noticed when I sipped at some coffee that my headache eased...strange.

I see it has been awhile since my last post and that smell floating on the wind is not the scent of my death or the death of this blog.
It is not that I have lost interest, but there just doesn't seem to be much to blog about at the moment.
Recently, we have had sickness at our home, where DramaQueen, my daughter, had the stomach flu. Nothing like projectile vomiting at 3am in the morning. She has been on nothing but ice chips and water for almost 4 days because she would throw up with even little bits of water in her stomach. It also didn't help that she did not understand the difference between 'belly burps' where you burp slightly because you haven't eaten and actually having to throw up. She would have a 'belly burp' and then force coughing to make herself throw up.
I talked with her about this till she understood not to force it, once she stopped doing that her vomiting decreased dramatically and she was doing better. HSe was also sleeping alot more in the last couple of days.
That brings us to today, where most the day yesterday, all through the night and today, she was no longer vomiting. She is drinking more and today for breakfast she ate a 1/4 piece of toast with light peanut butter, and just a few minutes ago she ate 1/2 a bananna. She is looking and feeling much better.
Thankfully it did not hit the rest of the family as severe as my daughter had it.
On the list of things to do in next couple of days is to get a carpet cleaner!

A funny inside tour of Burger King - while some may have worked there, at least those of us who have not will catch a glimpse of what it is like behind the counter.

I am at a loss for anything interesting to write on at the moment.
I guess you could say I am suffering from writers block.
So figured I would see what I could piece together before people who visit my blog think the smell coming from here is actually my dead body...
It is most likely a skunk outside that your smelling - because if my wife kills me - I am sure she can hide the bodies well.... errr ...my body, yeah, she hasn't killed before - I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!!!
Nevermind.
One of my wife's favorite quotes: Friends help you move. Real friends help you move bodies.
Saw this in the Sunday paper this weekend, and thought I would share it:
This is so true though isn't it?
Think of what a hug cost, what...a couple of seconds of your time - while it can bring a smile, bring a blush to a face, create comfort, a sense of ease, an expression of love or friendship.
What a great thing to be able to do, for a few seconds of your time!
And to have some fun now - let's have a bit of humor with Robin Williams.

And a dedication goes out to my wife, this special song.........
